
JEUVEAU
Jeuveau is an FDA-approved injectable neurotoxin used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines (glabellar lines) in adults.
Mechanism of Action:
Jeuveau works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that causes muscles to contract. By inhibiting acetylcholine release, Jeuveau relaxes the muscles that contribute to frown lines, smoothing out the wrinkles.
Benefits:
- Temporary improvement of frown lines.
- May last longer than other neurotoxins, such as Botox.
- Can be used in conjunction with other cosmetic treatments
Procedure:
Jeuveau is injected directly into the muscles that cause frown lines. The treatment typically takes less than 30 minutes.
Side Effects:

bruising, swelling, redness, headache, and pain.
Rare but serious side effects may include:
Allergic reactions, Muscle weakness, and Difficulty breathing.
Precautions:
- Jeuveau is not suitable for people with certain medical conditions, such as muscle weakness, botulism infection, or a history of allergic reactions to botulinum toxin.
- It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
